In August of last year, Sheep Creek Water Company wrote to The State Water Resources Control Board Division of Drinking Water, requesting a 2-year extension on the compliance timeline for the company regarding the Compliance Order from the state. In that letter, they included a timeline for drilling new wells in order to bring the company into compliance with state regulations for water supply. Sheep Creek Water Company also requested permission to sell 30 water meters “in order to pay for the pumps and material”.
The state responded in September, denying Sheep Creek Water Company’s request for an extension, but granting permission to sell 30 meters. The board really needs to stop dragging their feet on getting a working well going.
