In August of this past year, the Sheep Creek Water Company Board of Directors voted to start paying themselves to attend Board meetings. $600 per person, per month. Instead of that new monthly rate increase going to improve the company, each customer of Sheep Creek Water Company is paying $.50 per month per board director for their hard work at board meetings, unless of course the director is wealthy enough to turn down $7200 per year in free money, for work they used to provide for free. That’s $2.50 per month from the monthly base rate.
That is quite a large sum of money to be paying these directors. It’s much more than PPHCSD directors receive, and they are a much larger organization with a wider range of responsibilities and more meetings to attend.
Yet another example of this current board spending shareholder money like it’s their own. Alfred Johnson, the founder of Sheep Creek Water Company, must be rolling over in his grave at the shame of it all.
